Jessica Stolzberg

Hello.

I'm a writer and freelance editor. Some of my writing appears in the New York Times, Slate, Real Simple, and Vice. And some of it appears in Downtime and Baristanet. I write on a variety of topics, including the environment, family life, Tiny Horse, and raw chicken. I have one published poem, about an insensitive orthopedist.

I was the in-house copy editor at three national magazines before I began freelancing as an editor. Some of my clients include a museum, a university, a corporate technology blog, a memoirist, a watch dealer, a startup magazine, and countless others. I'm a skilled line editor, copy editor, and proofreader and can see projects through from raw manuscript to the moment before publication. I read footnotes as if they're headed for a billboard in Times Square.
